Our Exclusive Dolomites

Dolomites: a compact and versatile natural stone

Dolomites are compact carbonate rocks known for their low porosity, mechanical resistance, and high performance. Unlike other calcareous materials, dolomites offer greater durability over time, making them suitable for demanding applications such as kitchen countertops, bathrooms, or high-traffic flooring.

One vision, four distinct quarries

All materials from the exclusive Michelangelo collection come from a homogeneous area in Paraná, southern Brazil. There are four active quarries: white, grey, black, and red. From the white quarry, Michelangelo Marmores do Brasil extracts three distinct materials from different fronts: Nuvolato Calacatta, Michelangelo Prime, and Michelangelo Argento. Each stone is selected according to visual, structural, and application-based criteria to ensure consistency and high performance.

The white Dolomites

Three materials from the same basin, each with unique visual characteristics. A progression that starts from the flagship product and extends to the most accessible solution: coherent in language, distinct in expression.

Nuvolato Calacatta

The flagship material of the collection, Nuvolato Calacatta stands out for its warm and luminous white background and natural veining ranging from gold to bronze, rust to copper. Depending on the block, the structure can be delicate and subtle or bold and dramatic. Compact and durable, it’s ideal for high-end expressive projects seeking a material that is both iconic and elegant.

Michelangelo Prime

A premium dolomite appreciated for its exceptionally white, uniform, and contemporary background. The veining is light and fine, sometimes more arabesque, offering perfect balance for sophisticated and minimalist interiors. With excellent workability and technical performance, it’s a top choice for pure design spaces.

Michelangelo Argento

Michelangelo Argento is the most accessible material in the Michelangelo white Dolomite family. It maintains the light background typical of the quarry of origin, but features more pronounced silvery clouding and slightly warmer tonal concentrations. A smart design choice that balances coherent aesthetics, reliable technical qualities, and greater accessibility — all without compromising the elegance of natural stone.

The colored Dolomites

Three expressive stones, each with its own character. From intense red to deep black, these materials add energy, contrast, and depth to the collection.

Napoleon Bordeaux

A deep purple material with a rich ruby base and well-distributed white veins that enhance its visual depth and dynamism. The honed finish highlights its compact grain, giving a soft and velvety tactile feel. Perfect for bold and dramatic interiors where intensity and theatrical impact are desired.

Boulder Grey

A grey dolomite with a conglomerate structure, Boulder Grey features a layered base of grey-whitish tones with quartz intrusions, some partially translucent. Visually striking, yet elegant when used thoughtfully in interior design. Thanks to its excellent technical characteristics, it’s also suitable for kitchen tops and functional surfaces.

Black Chasm

Black Chasm is a deep black dolomite, refined in texture and rich in tone. Warm, sinuous veining in bronze and brown gives it a sophisticated and contemporary personality. Suitable for bold scenic interiors as well as minimal, continuous surfaces, it brings a rarefied and material elegance.
