From slab to space: a quartzite kitchen story

A process that leaves its mark

Every custom kitchen is the result of a process made of vision, technical precision, and collaboration. This project closely follows all phases – from material selection to fabrication and installation – showing how a quartzite slab becomes a functional and striking design element. A story where design and know-how merge to shape a piece built to last.

From concept to material choice

Every custom project starts with a vision. In this case, an interior concept led us to propose Infinity Brown quartzite: a material that balances aesthetics, performance, and budget. Material selection is a preliminary step distinct from slab selection—it focuses on the type of stone most suitable for the overall project.

From draft to technical definition

Based on an initial layout draft, we moved into the technical development of the entire kitchen top. In this phase, we defined shapes, constraints, and construction details, paving the way for the slab selection, guided by practical needs like size, thickness, and waste optimization.

The survey phase

To bring the project to life, an on-site survey was essential. This moment involved technical alignment with the cabinetmaker, as well as planning for logistics, assembly, and tailored solutions.

Digital cutting and precision

From CAD design to machine: a CNC system executed each cut with millimetric precision, shaping the slab and preparing it for the sink, cooktop, and all functional details.

Custom details

The top was designed to offer a continuous, coherent surface. Elements were finished flush with the top, featuring minimally styled edges. The result is a clean visual language, perfectly in tune with the kitchen project.

A defining edge

To enhance the stage presence of the top, we opted for a 4 cm edge, created with a 45° cut and a technical laminate backing. The result is a profile that looks solid, while remaining lightweight and functional.

The moment of installation

The final step saw the top integrated into the kitchen space. Every moment was handled with care to ensure a flawless result that fully enhances the qualities of natural stone.

A kitchen to be lived

The result is a kitchen in natural stone—meant to be touched, used, and lived over time. Infinity Brown was selected for its harmony with the space and its ability to withstand decades of daily use.
